The Big Ride {we need your help}

When: January 2017

We are doing something that probably sounds a bit crazy and we really need your help. In January 2017, Ben and I will be riding 800 kilometres from Nong Khai to Yasothon in Thailand over eight days to support the charity, Hands Across the Water and the valuable work they do.

To be part of this massive ride, Ben and I need to raise $20,000 (yes you read that right) for the kids in Thailand, and that’s where we need your help. We would love if you could make a donation, no matter how small, to help reach our target.

Losing our son Nicholas in May this year was the hardest thing we’ve ever been through. While we miss him desperately, he continues to inspire us to ‘wake up and be awesome’ and we want to take on this challenge in his honour.

If you make a donation over $10 before 30 September, we can send you a ‘Wake Up and Be Awesome’ magnet to put on your fridge. If you would like a magnet, once you’ve made a donation just forward your donation receipt and your postal address to and we’ll pop one in the mail for you.

Thank you so much for your support as we step completely out of the comfort zone and take on this next crazy adventure. We promise not to post too many photos of us in lycra as we train for the big event! 😉

You can read more about our big ride over on the blog.

Webinar: Protecting your business from Ransomware with Datto, joined by James Bergl

When: Wednesday 28th September 2016 10:00am – 11:00am (AEST)

Ransomware is becoming a leading threat to small business in Australia. It’s a type of malware that encrypts data on infected systems and locks its victim’s files and allows criminals to demand payment to release them. Small businesses are particularly vulnerable to these attacks.

– Ransomware netted roughly $325 million in damages worldwide in 2015. – In a one-month study by Norton, 68,000 computers were infected amounting to 5,700 a day. – 7% of global attacks have happened in Asia Pacific – this number is rising!

Cyber extortionists using ransomware rapidly adapt and evolve their weapon of choice as quickly as security experts can adapt our defences. A little bit of education and putting the right technology solutions in place can go a long way to keep your business safe and give your nerves a break! Having the right backup and business continuity system in place is a critical piece in your organisations cyber defence.

Join us on Wednesday 28th September 10am, with James Bergl from Datto for an educational webinar about the steps you can take to keep your business safe from these expert hackers.

Even if you’re unable to attend, make sure you register so you can recieve a link to the replay!
