Microsoft Office 2013

This small group, hands on course is designed for people who are already familiar with the basic operation of Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010 or 2013. The focus of this session is to highlight the differences between Microsoft Office 2013 and previous versions, and provide insight into features of each Microsoft Office 2013 application.

This session is ideal for someone who is familiar with the basics of Microsoft Office, but would like to increase their knowledge and skills further.

Office 2013 Upgrade

Word 2013

  • New backstage view and templates, recent documents easier to find and share
  • Share files in the cloud using SharePoint or OneDrive
  • Resume reading to return to where you left off
  • Object zoom to zoom in on tables, charts and images
  • Expand and collapse parts of a document

Course does not include:-

  • A computer. Bring your own Windows laptop, ideally with Microsoft Office 2013 installed. If you don’t have Microsoft Office 2013 installed please talk to us at least 72 hours in advance and we can assist with a trial version to install. If you do not have access to a suitable Windows laptop, we can assist with hiring one.
  • Food or drink beyond the basic coffee/tea/water. There is however a fantastic cafe immediately next door with a full selection.

FAQs

Do I need to bring my own laptop?

Yes, however if you don’t have a Windows laptop that you can bring, please let us know in advance and we can help organise a hire laptop for the day. Note that due to the version of Microsoft Office being covered an Apple laptop will not be suitable.

Do I need to be using Microsoft Office 2013 already?

No. However you will need Microsoft Office 2013 installed on your laptop ready to use. If you don’t have Microsoft Office 2013, please talk to use at least 72 hours in advance and we can assist with a trial version to install.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

BrightHQ is centrally located at Newstead, but parking can be a little bit tight at times. You can find more information, including a map of parking options HERE >>

Will there be coffee?

Yes. Tea & coffee will be provided. BrightHQ is also centrally located in the latte sipping heartland of Brisbane, so there are plenty of cafe options on hand.

* For participants that are attending both sessions, there is a café located next door to Bright HQ where lunch can be purchased.

By Car:

There is ample street parking, however most of the parking is metered during the day (Monday-Friday), so please be aware of parking signage as there are often parking inspectors in the area.

By Bus:

The City Glider, 199 & 393 all stop in walking distance on Vernon Terrace.

By Citycat or Ferry:

Simply stop at the Teneriffe terminal, about 200m from Bright HQ, walk along the river and turn right at Gloria the ewe.
