Xero Fundamentals – Hands On Half Day Training

Learn the fundamentals of Xero in this small group, half day hands on training session with Notch Above Bookkeeping and Grassroots IT. We will cover in detail everything you need to know for the day to day running of your business on this beautiful cloud based accounting software. Topics will include:
Purchasing: Managing the contacts, payments and cashflow in relation to the suppliers for your business
Sales: Everything about invoices and efficient ways to encourage your customers to pay sooner
Payroll: Keeping your staff happy and your payroll compliant
Bank recs: Quickly and correctly reconciling all bank transactions.
This training is perfect for both those who are new to Xero and those already familiar with the product but wanting to learn more.
We will have two Xero certified consultants on hand to share the training, with plenty of time to answer all of your questions about your own specific accounts.
- Bring your own laptop. (We can organise a hire laptop for a small additional charge should you wish)
- Bring your Xero logon details (If you already use Xero that is, and if you are comfortable accessing your live data. If not, no problem, we can provide you access to a training environment on the day).
Do I need to bring my own laptop?
Yes, however if you don’t have a laptop that you can bring, please let us know in advance and we can help organise a hire laptop for the day.
Do I need to be using Xero already?
No. This training is for those who are both new to Xero, and for those already familiar with Xero but wanting to increase their knowledge and skills on the platform.
If you do already use Xero, and are comfortable doing so, you can use your existing Xero system on the day. If you don’t already use Xero, or would prefer not to use your live system for training, that’s fine too, we can help get you setup on a training environment for the day.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Will there be coffee?
Yes. Tea & coffee will be provided. BrightHQ is also centrally located in the latte sipping heartland of Brisbane, so there are plenty of cafe options on hand.

There is ample street parking, however most of the parking is metered during the day (Monday-Friday), so please be aware of parking signage as there are often parking inspectors in the area.
The City Glider, 199 & 393 all stop in walking distance on Vernon Terrace.

Simply stop at the Teneriffe terminal, about 200m from Bright HQ, walk along the river and turn right at Gloria the ewe.
